Namma Metro Invite Bids for Phase 2A route

It has been long since the karnataka cabinet has approved the silk board to kr puram metro line along outer ring road which cost about more than 1200 crores. BMRCL has the started the process for inviting applications to construct the 13 elevated stations along 19.5km route, and the total construction work has been divided into 3 phases for speedy completion like the stretch from Silk Board to Bellandur, from Bellandur to Doddanakundi and finally Doddanakundi to K.R. Puram metro station. This whole project comes under Phase II A and not depends on Phase II 72 km distance.

The main purpose of taking the priority of this route is along the silk board route of outer ring road so many information technology and IT enables multi national companies are established and lakhs of employees are working in those. A survey was conducted in 2016 where the vechicle movement per hour is more than 18000 and in peak hours is it is twice to thrice normal count. Due to the traffice problems the loss of productivity is nearly 20,000 crores per year as per the report. So the state Government has decided to take up with high priority.

As per the detailed project report (DPR) for this project is above 4200 crores including the land acquisition price. The metro stations which come across this kr puram to silk board are as follows

  6. Kodibisanahalli
  7. Marathahalli

  11. Mahadevpura and
  12. KR Puram (Interchange Station with Baiyappanahalli to the Whitefield line Phase II)
