First Dormitory Launched by Kochi Metro

The first skywalk from Edappally metro station to Lulu Mall is opened to public recently, now it's time for Dormitory service. After successful journey of one year with daily ridership of 40k to 45k now Kochi Metro Rail Limited has started concentrating on non-ticketing revenues. There are so many plans to increase the revenue, in this view the KMRL has started the world class dormitory services at metro stations. For initial launch of these dormitory services has started operations at M.G.Road station by Peters Inn.

Kochi metro first dormitory at MG Road

The dormitory services at MG Road having Air conditioned, locker facility for lock your values while sleeping, free wifi, cctv cameras for continuous observation, each bed is equipped with reading light, mobile charging points and you can check in and check out round the clock. Anyone can use this service who ever coming to enjoy their trip in Kerala, and the price is very economical currently they fixed as 395 per day. Currently at MG Road 200 such beds and 40 toilets are provided. The Peters Inn is planning to accommodate 1500 more beds in various locations of the Kochi city which includes some other metro stations also. There is also some plans to launch special dormitory which is especially for ladies with closed rooms and security.

First Metro Introduced Dormitory in India

This is the first metro rail in India which launched dormitory at metro station premises. As per the Peter's Inn MD Francis Mukkanaikal this would be great for who are travelling on long drives and want to fresh and take a nap.
